Two people train on EGYM Smart Strength machines, seen from behind, each following a curve on the machine's screen.

The four pillars · Smart Strength Training

Strength you can measure.

One set per machine, to your tested threshold. Twenty to thirty minutes, once or twice a week, with a coach beside you and machines that set the load from your numbers.

Watch

Smart workouts for real people.

Under a minute from EGYM, who make the machines OnCore trains on.

A session

Twenty to thirty minutes, start to finish.

Four steps, the same each time. Nothing to set up, nothing to remember.

01

The machines know you

Each machine recognises you and sets its seat and range to your body, so every session starts where the last one ended.

02

The screen sets the pace

A curve on each machine's screen shows the speed to move at: two seconds up, four seconds down. You follow the line.

03

One set, to your threshold

One working set per machine, taken to the point where the next clean repetition will not come. Your coach is beside you for it.

04

Then the load moves

When your tested strength rises, the machine raises the resistance next time. When it does not, nothing changes until it does.

A hand wearing an EGYM wristband taps in at a strength machine's screen, which is edged with an orange light.

Tap in

The machine sets itself to you.

You wear a wristband. Hold it to the screen, and the machine moves its seat and its range of motion to the positions it measured for you, then loads the resistance from your last test. Nobody adjusts a pin, and nobody has to remember a setting.

The machines

Resistance from a motor, not a stack of plates.

Every EGYM machine drives its resistance with an electric motor. The load can change within a set, and the machine can add resistance on the lowering half of a repetition, where muscle handles more. There is no pin to move and no weight to pick.

  • Set from your tested capacity, not a guess
  • Adjusted as your numbers move
  • Every repetition recorded to your profile

Once or twice a week

The days between are part of the plan.

A set taken to your threshold asks a lot of the muscle. The adaptation happens in the days after, not on the floor, which is why sessions sit three to six days apart.

Twenty to thirty minutes

One set on each machine, at a pace the screen sets. Most people are done in the time a commute takes.

Three to six days off

Rest days are scheduled, not skipped. Coming in more often would not speed it up.

Rescored at week twelve

The same strength tests again, beside day one. That is how you know it is working.

Will it hurt me?

The machines test what you can do and set the resistance from that number, and a coach is beside you for every set. The load moves when your numbers move, not before.

Do I need to be fit already?

No. The first visit measures where you are, and everything starts from there.

What if I have an injury?

Tell your coach at the assessment. The load is set from what you can do on the day, and a coach is beside you for every set. Where something needs a physician, we refer you.
